Breakfast was good, though there was no buffet. The dinner was outstanding and far above the usual standard. A nice pool rounded off the stay in a beautiful mid‑mountain setting. In the town centre there is basically nothing else, so you’re always dependent on a vehicle.

During my motorcycle tour I spent one night at Gasthof Post. It was a very well‑maintained property with attention to detail. The courtyard pool was a relief after a hot day on the bike. The food was excellent, as was breakfast. Mr Doneus kindly gave me tips for the rest of my tour. The price‑performance ratio was absolutely fine.

The staff were pleasant, straightforward, and accommodating to individual wishes. The breakfast was especially varied and generous. Because I usually sleep with the window open, I missed insect screens on the windows; the curtains don’t keep all the gnats out, which is “complaining at a high level”.
