“感謝!”
大曲の花火を見に、まったく無計画で行ったのだがホテルの方の大変丁寧なアドバイスで大いに楽しむことが出来ました。感謝!. 良くも悪くも昭和の香りでいっぱいのスキーロッジです。個人的にはスキー好きだった60代ですので大いに満喫できました。ただ若い人がそれを理解できるかな?

The price is reasonable, especially on marathon day when most hotels hike rates. Each room has minimal but essential amenities. The toilets lack a washlet.

The host prepares breakfast and dinner herself, both delicious, and even accommodates vegetarians. The location is quiet, near a bus stop, with views of mountains and lake, and Nyuto Onsen is easily reachable.

The owner, who speaks enough English, cooks wonderfully, so order breakfast and dinner – they’re reasonably priced. Staying here feels more like a family home than a ryokan. The onsen was lukewarm at night (hot in the morning) and the setting wasn’t very attractive. The toilets are not modern. A dog barks a few times a day, and a small boy likes to bang on his drums during breakfast and around dinner.

The hostess was very friendly and the breakfast was outstanding, offering both Japanese and Western dishes. It feels more like a hostel than a hotel. Water has been unreliable lately – the sink sometimes stops running.
