The hotel was clean and quiet, but the pool was already closed when I arrived. That wasn’t their fault.

I was very disappointed. The water in the toilet, sink, and tub was brown, and the tub had been deliberately altered so it wouldn’t hold water—apparently to prevent customers from overflowing—so I couldn’t wash, bathe, or drink any water.

Everything smelled like smoke.

The clerk was rude; he tossed the machine across the desk for me to sign. I told him that wasn’t nice at all. If I hadn’t already booked, I would have gone elsewhere, but we were all exhausted from the long drive.
