“Schönes Hotel in stilvollem Altbau”
The hotel is a beautifully renovated (Art Nouveau) city villa with a modern addition; the spacious room has a high ceiling, and the location on the edge of the city centre allows for an uncomplicated drive by car, with ample parking directly on the street (pay‑per‑day). You’re only a 10‑minute walk to the pedestrian zone with restaurants and shops. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and breakfast is good (fresh fruit salad, not frozen!). Overall, it’s recommended. The only issue is that the interior is quite noisy due to the drywall construction; the elevator “ding” and other guests’ conversations are clearly audible. In the cozy breakfast room, the coffee from the full machine tasted like “powder” and very thin, and the scrambled eggs were “crisp” (apparently a ready‑made product). There’s still room for improvement, but it’s not a major limitation.
