The overall package was interesting, the restaurant was good and the breakfast was tasty, but the route we drove was a long stretch of gravel road in the middle of the field, and a better road appeared once we left the area.

The location is nice. It was never mentioned anywhere that only rooms with balconies are on the ground floor and all other rooms are on the second floor, and you have to climb quite a few stairs.

We spent a night here, quiet in the middle of the countryside. The room was clean and peaceful. In the evening we ate well in the restaurant, and in the morning a fresh breakfast was prepared for us. Since we were apparently the only guests outside of the season, we were treated like royalty. The small open-air museum near the hotel is nice. It’s not far from Schloss Rundāles, which is definitely worth a visit.
