The location is great, and the restaurant is lovely. The room only had coffee, no tea bags, and the hairdryer only blew cold air.

The room was so cold that the heating didn’t work.

The breakfast was good. One day both coffee machines were broken, and they didn’t offer any alternative.

The location was excellent, walking distance from main attraction and shopping. Cleanliness was a major issue throughout our stay. There were rust marks and dust in various areas, and when I touched the TV, my hand was covered in dust. The bathroom was in a similar condition. As these issues were evident from the first day, we decided not to request housekeeping due to concerns about the cleaning standards. Leaves near the lift on our floor also remained there throughout our stay, becoming increasingly scattered as guests walked over them. We also experienced an issue with all the electrical sockets in our room failing at around 2 am on the night before checkout. Reception assured us the issue would be addressed by 8 am, but the morning staff were unaware of the situation. A maintenance engineer eventually discovered that the circuit breaker was inside our bathroom, contrary to what we had initially been told. This was particularly frustrating as we had a flight to catch and needed to charge our phones. Having stayed at Clayton hotels in other cities without any issues, I was particularly disappointed by this experience. I expected the same standards of cleanliness, maintenance and customer service, but unfortunately, this hotel fell well below expectations
