“A gem in an excellent location.”
The location is excellent and the place is bigger than it appears in the photos. The lounge seating could be more comfortable.

It was great to feel at home after traveling for 5 weeks. The apartment is obviously well‑used, comfortable, with cool amenities, and in a great area. The only downside was the stairs – but that’s just Amsterdam.

The host was warm and friendly. Everything was close by: the metro, city center, shops, restaurants. The peaceful balcony offered a view of greenery, very relaxing after hours of walking in the lively center.

We really liked the location, central yet quiet, the spacious rooms, and the beautiful balcony with a view. The cleanliness was a major problem. When we arrived the house was very dirty and we had to clean several rooms ourselves. We found the owner’s personal clothes around and the wardrobe was full of her clothes, so you couldn’t put your own stuff anywhere. There were food leftovers and mold in the fridge, expired food in the pantry, a dirty bathroom and stains on the bed, so we had to buy new sheets. The communication with the host was disappointing: we tried to contact her several times and received only one reply. We understand the idea of leaving the house “lived in” to offer an authentic experience, but we believe this should not come at the expense of cleanliness and hygiene.
