We chose the hotel because we thought it was a good location for Carmel, but the bathroom door didn’t shut properly, a floorboard was raised and I stubbed my toes, we didn’t know the road was heavily used in Monterey, cars were loud late at night, we picked it for its 3‑star rating even though it felt more like a 2‑star place, and the pool area was empty even though the ad promised a pool and sauna.
