“Poor”

The location was very good and it was possible to book last minute; we had a very spacious room that was clean and comfortable enough. However, the staff were unhelpful and charged me for breakfast that we never had, requiring three phone calls to get a refund. The room was boiling hot and they couldn't provide a second fan even though the hotel wasn't fully booked. The rooms feel very dated, especially the bathrooms, and I wouldn't stay here unless you really need last‑minute accommodation. The receptionist wore a stained white shirt, giving a poor impression of the hotel’s cleanliness.

“Enjoyed our stay but with a few minor tweaks place could be a gem.”

The hotel in Gairloch is a nice, large place with good service, but the dinner menu was a bit limited and the breakfast could use a bit of sharpening. Mum and Dad’s porridge tasted like soup, and the pastries and eggs ran out.

“Absolutely perfect for our trip.”

The staff were amazing, accommodating and caring, ensuring we were seated for dinner quickly after our late arrival. The only downside is that a quick coat of paint here and there would improve the place.
