We loved the pools and how close they were to the beach; the staff were always kind, especially our housekeeping lady, Evelyn, who made our stay very enjoyable by ensuring we had everything we needed in our rooms.

The food was tasty and healthy, with many options and excellent service; the fish feeding and bird pictures were a highlight for the kids, the lobby was beautiful, the Hawaiian dancers were loved, the gym smelled clean, and the location was the best ever with easy access to restrooms outside the room area; the pools and slides were amazing and the pool area was very clean. More seating and shade around the pool would be nice; two family members had their shoes taken at the pool on two separate occasions, and only after speaking with the front desk and security did we recover the shoes that had been taken while swimming; an additional shower to rinse feet near the beach would help since the only one was small and often crowded.

It was fine until the power was turned off Sunday morning; we had no power to our room, no A/C, no lights, no restaurants open for food, and the pools were closed; we had to drive into town to buy food. We were told we would receive a 3‑night refund on the room and refunds for all parking and resort fees, but that has not happened yet.

We had no power in our room Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday; none of the pools worked; none of the restaurants were open to serve food because they failed to figure out how to turn the power back on the hotel. No power, pools closed, no A/C or lights in the room.
