“Cool peaceful value for money. Staff is very good. Manager Shakti”
The heritage vibe was well maintained, and it felt peaceful even though it sits in the heart of a busy street; all major attractions were within walking distance.

The property was very well maintained and the staff were polite and helpful, though the bed itself was small.

It’s an old building, well kept. The kitchen staff and waiters were excellent. The air‑conditioners weren’t good enough – I had two in my room yet they didn’t cool properly, the cot was too high and the mattress uncomfortable. Water pressure was nil in the bathroom; I stayed at the Karaikal. I’ve stayed in many heritage homes that have done better.

Beyond the historic charm, woodwork, tapestry, and the lovingly preserved old building, the food (excellent & balanced) and the hospitality – warm, friendly staff always ready to help – were fantastic. There was very little to complain about; I could have mentioned the lack of parking, but I already knew it would be street‑side and that parking in Pondy over a weekend is a challenge.
