“Customer care really needs improvement”
The room was spotless and cozy, with ample space for clothes and a breathtaking window wall overlooking the Mekong; we adored the terrace with its hammock, table, and chairs. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed so breakfast was unavailable, even though it said a fee would apply; we were told there weren't enough guests. The hotel has four rooms, and we were renting half of them, which was disappointing. Even though the room was nice, it didn’t feel good value for money—we paid 25 euro per room in the off‑season, while similar guesthouses in the same area are far cheaper. The owner asked if we had already bought our bus ticket to continue to Cambodia and suggested we buy from Him, which turned out to be a mistake; we requested a ticket for the Vet Air Express but were sold tickets to other companies that required extra stops, a vehicle change, and over two hours of waiting on the Cambodian side, making the trip to Siem Reap last 12 hours. We know the hotel isn’t responsible, but they should have been clear about selling us tickets to a different company than the one we asked for. Additionally, we left something on the bus and called the hotel to kindly ask for the company’s name or contact; they never sent us anything, despite several follow‑up messages. For these reasons, we’d recommend staying somewhere where guests are genuinely valued.
