Cheeky Monkey feels like a hidden gem – Agus and Sarah welcome you with open arms, and the whole team is super friendly. The 3‑day, 2‑night trek was unforgettable, thanks to our guide Rian and his lively assistant Yoris who were kind, attentive, funny, and full of knowledge. Food was excellent throughout, and after dinner we’d chat or play games until night. The crew were careful, packing leftovers instead of feeding wildlife, unlike other guides. The guest houses were quiet and comfy, and the on‑site restaurant served tasty local dishes while the staff introduced themselves and we swapped stories. The resident dogs Cheeky, Dora, and Bandal add to the warm vibe. As a solo traveler I felt right at home, meeting families, friends, and other solo guests, all greeted with smiles.

The staff were amazing, taking care of us and more. The facilities sit on the other side of “town” in the jungle, and a river is a 3‑minute walk away where we swam; the food is really good, and they handle everything you need. The jungle trek was fantastic with Felix and Santa, and Andrei brewed perfect coffee whenever we asked, playing beautiful songs in the evenings. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else – we loved it.

Everything was excellent. The staff were attentive, welcoming and genuinely friendly. They made sure I felt at home from the very first moment. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the food delicious. The jungle guides are extremely knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information about the rainforest. I especially appreciated their strong commitment to ethical and responsible treatment of nature and wildlife. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, I would happily stay here again
