The property sits close to the market, feels safe, and has parking. The rooms are cramped and need some updates. The roof leaked, and it was raining hard when that happened.

The place was clean, brand‑new, and very calm.

The staff were great, the room was clean, the internet was slow but acceptable, and the neighborhood is chill—near the stadium, which keeps noise down. I enjoyed my stay despite a hiccup at check‑in. I recommend the hotel, but I was let down by two issues: the owner tried to bill me in USD while Malawi uses MWK and the booking was in local currency—something I’ve never seen in my home country; and for the price I paid, the breakfast could have been better.

I appreciated the staff’s help with changing my reservation after flight delays and cancellations, and they were very friendly. The location is a bit far from the airport. Breakfast consisted of two fried eggs, ham, and a potato‑fry sandwich, which is decent considering Malawi’s economy. During my two‑night stay, the second night had no electricity or Wi‑Fi, which was tough. Being forced to pay in US dollars or euros was frustrating, and the room rate seemed high for the services offered. There was no nearby supermarket, so the owner drove me to one and charged a $10 taxi fare, forcing me to use all my cash here. I won’t stay again.
