I liked the location close to the station, a 0.5 h train ride to Bremen, and the hotel was clean with varied breakfasts and good coffee, though everything was just okay.

The hotel and rooms are clean, the breakfasts varied and good, plus good coffee. Close to the station but you don’t hear the trains. Everything was fine.

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast excellent, and the location superb; our car stayed in the underground garage the whole time and everything else was within walking distance.

If you’re planning a trip to Erlangen Station, you can’t miss Hotel Central, which sits within walking distance of the station, the city centre, and large parking lots, offering a privately run hotel with comfortable, clean rooms fully equipped; the owner is warm and helpful, a rarity these days; the breakfast is lavish, fresh, and beautifully presented, with coffee served in a thermos so you don’t have to rush to a machine, and the same for tea; overall it’s a very good choice, and the price is unbeatable—plus the tiny bathroom has plenty of hooks for hanging things, something even rare in pricier hotels; parking is available in the underground garage.

The owner’s friendliness and quick resolution of the TV reception issue were great, and the breakfast was good, but instead of a fridge in the room there was a communal fridge on another floor’s hallway, and noisy deliveries from a nearby supermarket and its meat‑cutting activities disturbed us.
