The hotel had an amazing vibe, was clean and well‑maintained, and the name really fits; stepping inside feels like time stops, and I’m not sure what exactly creates that sense of calm, perhaps the simple room design lets you retreat inward and relax mentally, emotionally, and physically. The housekeeping was excellent, the staff were very welcoming and helped me sort out all my accommodation issues despite translation challenges. I’m eager to stay at other hotels in this chain in different cities and countries.

“Akzeptables 5 Sterne Hotel in Tangshan”

The location is great, and I like that it's a very Chinese hotel - it's actually the only 5-star hotel in Tangshan that's suitable for Europeans like us. However, the shower drain is really loud and needs to be fixed. Also, the staff don't speak much English, which can be a challenge.

The restaurant staff were super friendly and helpful, especially with the coffee - I wasn't expecting much, but it was actually really good. The housekeeping team were also kind. However, I was surprised to see smokers wandering around the hall despite all the no-smoking signs. It felt like management could step up - no one helped with luggage, and the guy at the front gate just stood there, not even making eye contact.

“Such a nice hotel with many people doing their best to make you very happy with your stay”

This place is great for cyclists, and the staff are really helpful too. One downside is that not many of them speak English, which can make things a bit tricky. Still, it's a welcoming spot overall.

The room was spotless and nicely decorated, and the breakfast spread was impressive. The Wi-Fi connection was also strong. However, we had a couple of issues with the staff - the receptionist gave us a hard time about our bed choice, and the pool janitor was really abrupt and shouted at my spouse about leaving on time. Luckily, management apologized later. It would be great if they could work on staff training and make arrival a bit smoother with luggage assistance.
