The View

“L'hôtel s'appelle "The View" ce n'est pas trompeur ... magnifique.”

The hotel’s location, aside from Honningsvag on the heights, offers a clear view of the sea and absolute calm. The reception was very friendly and gave good tips for restaurants in town, though the hotel itself didn’t serve food. My room was simple but had a superb “View” of the sea (and the reindeer!). The bathroom was small but perfect. Breakfast was excellent in a beautiful glass-walled room by the sea, with high‑quality products. The room felt a bit cramped and the bedding wasn’t very comfortable.

The hotel was average, nothing spectacular, but also nothing problematic. The value for money was moderate. The only drawback was the lack of an elevator. Parking was convenient and the location was good.

The rooms are modernly furnished. I had to wait for the reception to be staffed when I called from the lobby. There is no restaurant in the building that stays open in the evenings.

The location and view were very pleasant, the breakfast was good, parking was fine, and the EV charging was available. Everything was great. I booked the room and a day later the price dropped by half.
