Dinner and breakfast were both very tasty. It was disappointing that there was no hair dryer in the room.

The service was very heartfelt. I went with my parents, who have hearing and mobility difficulties, my husband, and my daughter. Two years ago I stayed at a different inn in Kinosaki, but this time I chose the location as my top priority because I wanted to stay near the hot spring. The price was reasonable and the room was very large, giving a nostalgic feel of a traditional Japanese inn. The waiter who served the meal was very kind and pleasant. During dinner we received a paper umbrella made by origami, which was beautifully crafted and cute; I keep it at home. My mother used the indoor bath twice, and it was private each time. The hot spring is right behind Yanagi-ya, making it easy to visit. The crab was not in season, so they served frozen crab, which was tasty, but I wondered if it was necessary.

I relaxed in a classic, calm atmosphere, but the stairs up to the third‑floor room were tough for my age.
