“Empfehlenswert”
The staff were very accommodating when the air‑conditioning broke. The location is good and the price is fair. All in all, it’s fine—I’d book again.

Located in the heart of Sofia, the DITER Family Hotel is a central hub near main governmental institutions, the National Palace of Culture, and Vitosha shopping street. This historic hotel, housed in renovated buildings of Bulgarian writer Todor G. Vlaykov, features modern rooms, fusion cuisine at Tenebris restaurant, and free WiFi. The airport is 15 minutes away, and Vitosha Mountain is 10 km from the hotel.

Very good, very central and very friendly. Nothing to complain about.

Only the location is good. The place isn’t clean. The furniture is old, the bathroom is old, the sheets aren’t clean. The night‑shift receptionist is rude and grumpy.

The room was large with a balcony where you could smoke. The window opened onto a quiet courtyard; the view wasn’t great but it was very quiet. Everything was nearby—center close, metro close. The staff were very welcoming, and tea and coffee were free in the lobby. The downside is the carpet (not my favorite) and there are no power outlets near the bed.
