Communication from the start of the booking was excellent, and the room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully fitted. The towels were fluffy, the right size for a bath, and changed daily. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and great value.

We stayed in room 2. The decor, shower, and coffee machine were perfect. The white towels were fluffy and the sheets crisp. A high‑end fan was provided, which we appreciated because of the hot weather. The hospitality was exceptional – we felt very welcome during our two‑night stay and next time we visit Dartmoor we’ll definitely stay at The Horse. A small fridge in the room would be the icing on the cake.

The bedroom was really lovely and comfortable, with a kettle that sings and dances, a very fast boil, and a coffee maker. The king‑size bed is the comfiest we’ve ever slept in. The bathroom is beautiful, but the shower floor is really slippery when wet; we didn’t notice the shower mat the first time, so please make sure to use it. Marlene and Nigel are lovely hosts. Oh, you have to try the pizzas 😋😋

This place is gorgeous. The bed was sooo comfy. The room was gorgeously decorated and everything in there was well thought through, even the fan which was super quiet. We ate in the pub and the food and service were spot on. Will stay again! An iron would have been a bonus.
