We arrived late during the week when dining options were scarce, and the staff went above and beyond by offering to cook us a pizza and then setting us up in the lounge downstairs by the fire; their help was truly appreciated.

The staff greeted us warmly and the lush, relaxing atmosphere welcomed us the moment we stepped inside; it was the best environment I’ve ever stayed in. Cat & Allen were living and working their best lives, and we’ll tell everyone about their hospitality, not to mention Jonathan C’s brilliant guitar performance on Saturday evening. The only downside was that the bed in room 9 lacked springs on the door side, making it saggy.

What an amazing find: we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but ate there in the evening, and the check‑in reception was incredibly personalized and friendly, far beyond expectations. The décor and art are beautiful, and there was nothing we didn’t like; we would definitely return if we’re ever in Queenscliff.

The cocktail bar and live music were great, and the room was amazing.

The décor was excellent, the host very pleasant, and the location very good, but the room was very small; a queen bed with space for a bedside table on each side would have been better.
