“It was ok. would look for others before coming back.”

The staff were very helpful and accommodating, and the rooms were clean. We didn’t know the property was under construction, which made it hard to relax during the day. The toilet needed fixing, and the TV remotes kept getting swapped between units, but we eventually sorted that out.

The place was convenient, cheap, and warm. However, it was dirty—hair in the drain, dust in corners and crevices, mould in the shower, and stains on the couch and blankets.

“Invaded by armed police”

The room was very nice. We were interrupted by armed police who arrived looking for a Māori with tattoos on his face, and the management even supplied a video of me checking in, wrongly identifying me. This completely ruined our privacy and changed the vibe of our stay. The police were overzealous, and the management helped ruin our experience. Apart from that, the room was clean and well-appointed.
