The room stayed cool even on a 35‑degree day, and the view from the living room and breakfast were both great, plus the quiet atmosphere and the easy access to bike and hiking routes.

The place feels a bit dated, but it’s spacious and well equipped, and from Happurg you can go on fantastic hikes and climbing trips, and the café’s cake is delicious.

The view and location were lovely and you could breakfast outside; the chef was very friendly and helpful, everything was clean and service was quick. The guesthouse itself is a bit old‑fashioned, the breakfast could have had more variety, and it was hard to locate the property and the parking, which is off‑site; the night signs were hard to see, the staff’s explanation of the parking was a bit curt, and the outside steps aren’t suitable for disabled people because the pension sits on a slope.

The view of the city was great, the hosts were very nice and accommodating, and the breakfast was tasty, though the building feels a little old.
