The central location, proximity to everything and the option to rent a bike without leaving the hotel were great, and the staff were polite and always smiling. We spent two nights and three days there, but hot water was missing throughout our stay and on the second day the whole building lost electricity for the day (later we learned it was a planned outage for that part of the city); a four‑star hotel should have a generator, which it didn’t. I won’t even mention that the hotel’s own restaurant was closed, forcing us to have breakfast elsewhere, although the staff there, especially Ekaterina, were very helpful and we are grateful to her.
The hotel was spotless and my spacious room felt very comfortable; breakfasts were decent though repetitive (I was there three nights, which didn’t bother me), we received two bottles of water daily, the room was cleaned each day and towels were changed regularly, and the staff were friendly amid the Soviet‑style décor. The beach was a long walk away—the hotel sits on the second line, so you have to go around the first‑line hotels, which you can’t pass through; that detour involves stray dogs, rundown cafés and litter, and the beach itself in this part of the island isn’t very pleasant and is littered.
“Amazing value for money”
Sue at reception was absolutely wonderful; thanks to her. The value for money is unbeatable.
“Very affordable and century located”
I liked the place – it’s in a good spot and the restaurant on the top floor is nice, but the room felt a little cramped.
“Come again!”
The location, facilities, bed, scooter hire, and price were great, but walking across the road to breakfast was a hassle; the 7th floor was nice on the first day.
