Everything – literally everything! From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly kind, and the dogs were given treats and even a small “accident kit,” a thoughtful touch that you don’t expect. The rest of the staff were all very accommodating, warm, and just lovely, making us feel welcome from the first minute. Our 90 qm apartment was set in a beautiful retro style with a Chesterfield sofa, timber framing, and lots of charm – exactly our taste. It was huge and cozy, and we even had a balcony, which we didn’t expect. The spa area was amazing; we booked the Late‑Night Spa for ourselves (you can see all the details on the website) and I was blown away. We had seen some pictures on the homepage and on Booking, but what you actually get is something else entirely: fire pit, pool, whirlpool, and sauna – pure madness! The restaurant and especially the breakfast were a huge surprise. The menu is small, but everything is really tasty and fresh. The breakfast buffet – I’ve never seen anything like it! Honey straight from the hive, fresh juices to squeeze yourself, and eggs cooked exactly how you want. It shows that someone really thinks about it instead of offering a generic breakfast. The location is great, especially if you’re traveling with dogs. You can take nice walks right away and still be close to Lake Constance. The harbor isn’t far, and the Phaalbaumuseum is also reachable. We used our stay at the Storchen am Bodensee to explore the area a bit. The only downside was that after 10 pm there was no service for the Late‑Night Spa, but that was explained to us and there were drink and snack vending machines available.

The garden was huge with plenty of play options for little kids, the breakfast was really good and varied, the reception was friendly, the rooms were on a side street and very quiet, and there was a rain umbrella and even a small backpack to borrow in the room. The bathroom might have been a bit small/compact, and the duvet felt a bit “summer‑like” (thin).
