“The owner cancelled our booking the day before we were due to stay, so I can’t offer an opinion on the facilities. Howev”
We never actually got to stay there, so I can’t say much.

The building itself was impressive, yet the bathroom wasn’t an ensuite.

The English Manor was beautiful and lovingly maintained; David the host offered plenty of tips to make the stay enjoyable, and The Green Man was a nice spot for dinner. I hadn’t read the details carefully, so I ended up with a private bathroom at the end of the hallway instead of an ensuite, which I’d preferred—but that was my own oversight.

The historic house was fabulous, full of antiques and intriguing pieces, and its lack of modernisation gave it an authentic feel that transported me to another era. The beds were comfy, the breakfast lovely, the grounds beautiful, and the host friendly and helpful. The only downside was that I only stayed for two nights.

I loved the quirky character of the building, and the room was very comfortable and spacious.
