The hostel turned out to be exactly what you need for a night on the Sněžka trail – the room had all the basics, the staff were warm and ready to sort any issues, and the scenery around the place was simply gorgeous.

The spot is convenient and the bed was comfy, but the lady at the front desk was downright unfriendly, she never answered the phone when we called on the way there, and the room came without a towel.

Trying to get a hold of the owners was a nightmare; messages went unanswered and any questions we had were left hanging.

The location is fine, but I can’t recommend the owner at all – she was rude, called us names, demanded extra money after saying the tourist tax was already paid, and basically treated us like unwanted intruders.

Being right next to the hiking and biking trails was a big plus, and the hot tap water (when it wasn’t mysteriously turned off) and the surprisingly soft, old‑fashioned mattress made the stay bearable; the place also forces you to go barefoot or in socks, which keeps the floor clean, and there’s free summer parking plus late‑night radio for the night owls.
