The herbal bath was warm enough to make my toes feel toasty, even though the water wasn’t hot. I arrived late at night but the check‑in went off without a hitch, and despite the construction crews around, the building was surprisingly quiet after dark. The step up into the unit bathroom felt way too high, and the sink tap kept dripping no matter how tightly I turned it. The place was fairly clean, though its age was obvious.

Getting two meals for one night was cheap, and the property offered a herbal bath and a sauna. The bathroom tiles were coming off in places.

The herbal bath was lukewarm and allowed me to soak slowly, which was perfect for someone with a weak heart who can’t use the sauna. Everything felt old, the window frames were covered in mold and dust, and the locker in the bath area had a lock that was hard to turn.

The staff were helpful. I disliked that mold had grown on the bathroom curtain in my room, and the breakfast overall was bad.
