“Sehr stilvoller Palast”
A beautifully renovated palace right in the heart of Norcia, with excellent beds, a superb breakfast, a nice little spa, and elegant lounge areas. Everything was to my liking.

Palazzo Seneca, a 16th‑century palace in Norcia’s historic centre, offers modern, elegant rooms with wrought‑iron beds and designer bathrooms. Located just 50 m from the main square and adjacent to Monti Sibillini National Park, it features a private garden, jazz lounge, rare‑book library, free spa with hot tub, Turkish bath, and sauna. The Vespasia restaurant showcases local truffles, sausages, and lentils.

The Palazzo was fantastic, tastefully decorated, the room was simple yet very comfortable, the breakfast was great, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

When we checked in, no one was at the front desk; we had to wait with another couple while they tried to call someone. The hotel says there are three yellow loading zones, but during our two‑day stay we never saw any of them, and the hotel wasn’t full. We weren’t offered parking help, only told to find a spot outside the city walls or hope to snag one in two nearby lots. Other hotels on this trip would have either parked our car after unloading our luggage or at least shown us where to park. The reception seemed more interested in asking what we wanted for dinner the next night, since you have to order at least 24 hours in advance. We had to carry our own luggage to the room. It wasn’t high season, and we’ve spent 80 days in Europe staying in some 4‑ and 5‑star properties, so this was very disappointing.
