“Good hotel in a great location for getting around town”
The staff were great, the location was good, the room was a reasonable size for a city hotel, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good. The towel radiator in the ensuite could use a replacement.
The location is superb, right next to the Colosseum, and the staff are exceptional—smiling and attentive. The breakfast, however, is quite disappointing, and the rooms are poorly insulated; you can hear hallway noises and other rooms.
The staff are friendly and have a good sense of humor, but I did get insect bites during my stay.
The spot was unbeatable, within walking distance of almost everything—restaurants, the station, the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain—making it easy to explore Rome on foot; the only downside was the cramped rooms, especially the first one where four beds were crammed together despite being listed for four adults, which didn’t work for us until the team moved us to a much larger family room, and while breakfast was decent but fairly standard, the staff were outstanding, constantly attentive, storing our luggage, offering help, and even giving us cold water when we arrived exhausted and hot, so overall it was a great stay for anyone who values location.
