Matala Hostel

The space feels spacious and beautifully decorated, and the staff are friendly, making you want to stay longer. Leaving was a bit of a hassle.

You can quickly reach the city and the beach from there. No street noise. The rooms have a balcony. The upper beds are hard to reach with the ladder, and there’s nothing to hold onto. I found it really dangerous to get down. Luckily I asked for a lower bed and received one.

L'emplacement à Matala, mais mériterait vraiment un gros coup de neuf. C'était bien pour une nuit, pas plus. Vraiment le minimum au niveau équipement, on a même dû réclamer les serviettes. Assez mal insonorisé, on a été réveillés par les voisins tôt le matin

Being close to the beach was a definite plus.

Very well located, the reception was very warm, the room was quiet and very clean. Unfortunately the pool water was green… but that can happen… and we still enjoyed the beach.
