The location right next to the train station makes it a solid choice for a transit hotel, and the great price‑to‑quality ratio left nothing to be desired.

The vintage truck‑era vibe of the place feels very friendly and straightforward without compromising professional service, the staff is pleasant, and the spot by the Loire and close to Pouilly‑sur‑Loire is lovely, yet the food quality is mediocre—there’s plenty but not much taste, so fixing that would make it deserve a high rating.

A legendary spot freshly updated, the room was cozy and the meals were solid.

The national vibe of the 7! From the lobby to the rooms and the restaurant, everything feels immersive—just a short escape. Breakfast was hearty and tasty, and the value for money is excellent.

Reviving the historic relais was a delight; the atmosphere felt authentic, the rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was both excellent and abundant, though I wish they served scrambled eggs. The location is superb—if you stay on the A77 side you’ll hear the highway, whereas the N7 side is completely quiet. We detoured 100 km just to stay at the 200‑km marker on our way back from vacation and have no regrets. Coming from Gironde, we left the motorway for the last 100 km to pass through Sancerre, and upon arrival we enjoyed a lovely aperitif platter with an excellent smoked Pouilly. The welcome was warm, the setting threw us back into the mythic Route Nationale 7, the décor was great, the meals were superb and the hosts were very friendly—what more could one ask? The mattress, however, was too firm for me.
