“Tolerable. Very ordinary”
Good location. Run down and very, very expensive compared to 5‑star hotels around the world.
“If you are considering booking this hotel then we would recommend”
Great location, slightly on the edge of town but only about 15 minutes walking to the main town area. The room was spacious and offered a nice view of the courtyard garden. The “main” hotel had good facilities, and the Canoe over the road on Banff Ave. had superb hot pools with a great outlook over the mountains. We felt the pillows were uncomfortable and hard, but it didn’t detract from a great stay.
“Ruhiges und recht einfaches Motel mit kurzen Wegen ins Zentrum”
The motel isn’t right on Banff Ave but it’s very close; it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the centre, and the free bus ticket for trips within Banff that you get at check‑in is a big plus, with the bus stop right near the motel and check‑in handled smoothly across the street at the Canoe & Suites hotel. The room was quiet, located at the end of Banff Ave, so you can hear the train horns everywhere in Banff, and breakfast is excellent at Sudden Sally in the same hotel. Parking right at the motel was plenty, and overall everything fit together nicely, making it a relatively inexpensive option for Banff. On the downside, you can use the outdoor hot tub at the mentioned hotel, but on that day there were no towels or bathrobes left, which was disappointing; if we’d known, we’d have brought our own towels, but the walk back to the motel was too far, so it was a let‑down. Other guests say this has never happened before, so it was just bad luck—better bring a towel just in case.
“Highly recommend”
So many details considered in the rooms /so well located for fuel and groceries plus easy frequent bus service to downtown in 5 minutes -highly recommend
parking is easy, bus pass provided by the hotel, hot pool use at Canoe Hotel, the room was clean. has a microwave, extra towels. price is a bit high for a motel
