The host was delightful, kind, and communicative, which was especially useful for a solo traveller. Located right in the village’s heart, it offered an authentic Hong Kong experience with plenty of nearby food options and nice walks. The room was very clean and spacious, and the air‑con worked efficiently, which was much needed. Breakfast was tasty and the coffee delicious. I’m glad I chose this over a resort or city hotel. The walk from the taxi stand or bus park was fine for me, but it can be tough with luggage in the heat; a bit more organization would help. The place gets touristy in the afternoon, so heading to the lookout away from the crowds is a good idea. The stairs are tricky with a big suitcase, so it isn’t ideal for those with mobility issues.
