“Over priced hotel.”
The communal areas were stunning, tastefully decorated with designer furniture, but I only stayed one night and didn’t get to enjoy them fully. The room itself was cramped, with designer furnishings and soft décor that felt excessive for the space. Heating was uncontrollable and too hot (25 degrees), so I had to leave a portable fan on and keep the window open. The bathroom sink had a stone effect but the covering was cracked all around the edges, exposing the material underneath. A curtain was missing, and the single remaining one didn’t cover the window completely. Three chairs in such a small room were too much; a coffee‑machine table would have been more practical, yet they were placed low on a tray atop a chest in the corner. I felt the room was overpriced at £125 for one night with no breakfast included. To add insult to injury, I received an email 40 minutes before check‑in telling me to contact the owner and pay an additional £30 for travelling with a dog – this was the first mention of any dog charge and the email gave no owner contact details.
