The property was very beautiful and evocative, and even in low season the restaurant was open and the food was good, with a nice breakfast too. However, it was low season and the spa only opened in the morning, and there was a cockroach in the room, though surrounded by greenery and it can happen.

The rooms were pleasant in lovely surroundings, but the hotel felt very empty. There was a restaurant on the nearby beach, but unfortunately there was a party there, so the only option for dinner was at the hotel, where the food was okay.

The pool area was very pretty, but breakfast was unfortunately the worst of our four‑week holiday, and the rooms were very plain and austere.

The room had been renovated, was clean and well‑maintained, and the service was good with helpful staff; the pool looked very inviting, though we never used it, and the hotel is conveniently about a 10‑minute drive from the main road. The mattresses were extremely firm, making the stay quite uncomfortable, so replacing them or adding toppers would help; breakfast was basic and could be better, no cafés or restaurants were within walking distance, and the gym looked a bit neglected and needs maintenance.
