The owner was fantastic, sweet, and helpful, ensuring we were comfortable and assisting us whenever we needed something, like a replacement for our golf cart rental. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes, no AC made it very hard, and the sargassum smell was strong enough to reach through the bathroom water.

Abel is a good host who even took us to the boat on the day of departure. There’s a large fridge with water. It’s a 10‑minute bike ride to the center. The pool water was cloudy and the bikes were not the best; the chain kept falling off each time.

The host was incredibly friendly and even handed us bicycles to explore the island. The spot sits behind a small airport, so it’s very quiet—air traffic was barely noticeable—and tourists feel “far away,” though nothing on the island is really distant. Unfortunately, the surrounding water had a lot of seaweed, which made the air smell like rotten eggs and clogged the bathroom drainage, so showering or washing hands was a real challenge because it was stinky; this might just be a seasonal issue with wind and temperature changes.

Abel was extremely friendly and helpful. The place was beautiful and quiet, and it was great that bikes were available to borrow. Abel drove us in a golf cart to the boat taxi. We would definitely come back.
