Hotel Eden Rock, Bad Gastein, offers mountain views from all rooms and free WiFi. Dating back to 1906, it features spacious rooms with flat-screen TVs and modern bathrooms. The hotel is centrally located, with Felsentherme Thermal Spa, Ristorante Angelo, and an Irish Pub nearby. Bad Gastein Train Station and Stubnerkogel Cable Car are within a 5-7 minute walk, and Gastein Golf Course is 3 km away.

How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
We were transferred to the Hotel Salzburger Hof, and the room offered a gorgeous view of the Gasteinertal. The staff were courteous and very polite, and the breakfast buffet was abundant with fruit, vegetables, various breads, cheese, and sausage all well arranged. The hotel also has a beautiful bar that plays live music in the evenings. The hotel leaves no wishes unfulfilled.

The hotel’s location is fantastic, right on the cliff with a view of the city – truly amazing. It’s fairly new, renovated, and the facilities are in very good condition. We had two balconies that offered stunning views in every direction. The breakfast, however, was a bit weak; only filtered coffee, no warm milk. The sausage, ham, and cheese were often already dried out even though we arrived at 8 am. We were placed in a small corner even though the restaurant had plenty of space. The bread ran out and nothing was refilled (only a few rolls later). The staff spoke poor English and weren’t very attentive. The selection was very simple, especially the fruit and vegetables – other hotels nowadays set a higher standard.

We stayed at the Hotel Salzburger Hof instead of Eden Rock because Eden Rock was closed; we were told this beforehand and it was fine with us. Nothing else to add.

Very comfortable, clean, and spacious rooms with an incredible mountain view. Breakfast was fine and included everything needed. I’m looking forward to returning. We had to check in at the nearby Hotel Salzburger Hof, which isn’t a problem but could have been communicated more clearly beforehand.

Location, room, staff, and cleanliness were all good. The arrival process was confusing; they didn’t tell me to go through the Wild Bad reception to reach the main one, so it was hard to find the main reception. I was super disappointed that all restaurants and bars were closed and I wasn’t told in advance. A list of other open places in town would have helped. I chose this hotel because I liked the restaurants and bars, so I was very disappointed not to be informed beforehand.
