The location was great, but the room was tiny and showed signs of wear, and the bed was way too hard.

It was a decent value for the price paid.

Very good place for a short stay. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the main street so you can go anywhere. Fresh fruits and corn flakes with juice are a perfect start to every day. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I didn't have any Lao Kip on me, but they were very accommodating and accepted payment in Thai Baht. Everything was great for me personally, but a couple of details might be worth noting for future guests: The hotel recently changed its name and is now called Vang Vieng Rivercube Hotel, so keep that in mind so you don't spend time looking for the old name on the street or map. The pool is very small — it's not really suitable for swimming, but rather for taking a quick dip to cool off in the heat. Also, the soundproofing in the room is quite thin, so you can hear some outside noise. It wasn't an issue for me, but it might bother light sleepers

You get good value here; don't expect a lot for the price you pay, but you get what you pay for. The bathroom lighting was a bit dark, but that was the only downside.

The accommodation is fine, especially for what you pay. Breakfast is simple but decent. The staff, particularly the lady at reception, were very unfriendly.
