“joli Hôtel jolie terrasse et jolie région”
The location was gorgeous, the village charming, and the terrace offered a stunning view; the hallway of the room held a coffee machine, a hot‑pot with several teas and infusions, biscuits, and even a fridge – truly a highlight. However, a light on the wall opposite flickered red, then green, then yellow for half the night, and despite curtains we still saw two windows on that side, making it unbearable; the temperature was high during the heatwave, and they left the windows open in full sun, so we couldn’t keep them open without curtains. The restaurant was closed on Tuesday, the day we arrived, and although a message said it was open just for hotel guests, I had read rave reviews and was disappointed by the bland mushrooms (bolets) that were untrimmed and tasteless, the dry reheated polenta, and a tiramisu that was at least five days old with a butter‑like cream; I’ll skip the rest of the dinner. I don’t like to be harsh, but it was a total let‑down. Still, the region is spectacular, we rode motorcycles to Col San Marco – that part was excellent.
