Sunset Hotel

A five‑day stay with my wife at the Sunset Hotel in Montenegro was pure pleasure. Great food, wonderful view from the window, and proximity to the sea – everything top‑level. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We will definitely return!

“Ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt – absolut empfehlenswert”

The check‑in was very warm and quick, and the whole staff stayed attentive, friendly and helpful throughout. Our room was spotless, well‑furnished, and quiet; the bed was incredibly comfortable and the air‑conditioning worked flawlessly. Cleaning happened daily and fresh towels were supplied. The hotel’s location is perfect, especially the direct beach access, which is a big plus. You can lie on the public beach for free or pay a small fee to rent a sunbed and umbrella for a day, and towels can be requested at reception. The breakfast buffet offered something for everyone, with fresh regional produce and fruit, and there was always something for the kids. If you’re enjoying the beach and get hungry or thirsty, you can conveniently order snacks and drinks from the hotel’s restaurant during the day, pay, and take them to the beach. A downside is that Montenegro still lacks non‑smoking zones in public areas, so we, as non‑smokers, occasionally had cigarette or cigar smoke bother us. We pointed it out to other guests and found a solution that worked for smokers and non‑smokers alike, but this issue is not specific to the hotel—it applies generally to Montenegro.

“Ein wunderschönes Hotel an super Lage mit traumhaftem Meerblick und herzlichem Service!”

We had a truly pleasant stay and felt comfortable in the hotel from the very beginning. We were especially delighted with our room that had a balcony and sea view; the view was gorgeous, and the sunsets each evening were something special. The room itself was spacious, offering plenty of room, ample storage, and it was easy to settle in even for an extended stay. Overall, we found the room comfortable and enjoyable. A big shout‑out to the staff: everyone was consistently friendly, attentive, and courteous. Whenever we had questions or requests, help came quickly, and we felt genuinely cared for. Their warm and pleasant demeanor contributed greatly to our comfort. We were also satisfied with the breakfast, which had a good selection and something for everyone. In short, we had a great time and would definitely recommend the hotel. The combination of the beautiful view, spacious room, and friendly staff was particularly appealing. For us, it’s a clear 9 out of 10, and we’d book again.

Excellent location, easy to find. Staff is very kind, friendly and helpful in every situation. Sunsets are breathtaking.

Breakfast. Honestly, the same thing every day shouldn’t be the case. In the Delux room there were no toothbrushes, no razor, nor bottled water. Tea and coffee came only in a packet, and even the coffee was not always available. The bedside lamps didn’t work (one never got fixed), the shower holder was non‑functional at check‑in. Shampoo was only one bottle for four days. Beach towels were never changed at all, and they’re soaked from salty water.
