The employees. They are really nice and polite.
Onsen was great. A lot of amenities provided.
The room smells bad, the breakfast is not that great. The building is very old, hence the room is old. The bathroom is moldy
The kaiseki was incredible! Every dish was unique and delicious.

“Very nice authentic place”
The rooms were nice, but the location felt too isolated and there were many children around.
“Home away from Home in 池田市”
I had a fantastic stay at this traditional, rather old ryokan. The breakfast was amazing, the room was huge with a lovely veranda, and it’s located in my hometown, so catching the bus in and out was very convenient. We entertained visitors who liked hanging out with us in our big room and enjoying a Japanese onsen. The reasonably priced massages were a great find too.
“Peux mieux faire”
The free shuttle from Ikeda Station, the availability of the onsen and restaurants, and the in‑room meal were all positives. The bath in the room was very small and the equipment felt old.
“日帰りでもいい感じがした。”
The pool was just the right depth for my elementary‑school‑aged grandchildren and the water was clear, while the hot‑spring bath was spacious enough to soak comfortably; however, the futon consisted only of a mattress without any cushioning, which was disappointing.
“Great food great view good service”
If you’re not a tattoo holder, this spot is far more enjoyable; the onsen looked appealing from a distance, the private bath was pleasant and the view was pretty good. The food was excellent, and the shuttle to Ikeda station worked well. I wish I’d known there was also a shuttle to the hotel, and that the outdoor pool at the base of the building is an eyesore. The strict policy against tattooed guests feels outdated, the trip to get there is long, and hair floating in the outdoor tub isn’t great, but it does happen.
