We thought the food and breakfast were exceptional. The area was lovely and the host very welcoming. The rooms were slightly small and some areas required caution due to low headroom.

The hotel’s location next to the abbey and overlooking the river was convenient, and the room was roomy enough with a comfy bed. Parking off the street was easy. The first‑floor stairs are narrow and steep, so my husband had trouble carrying our international‑size luggage; a hand‑rail or assistance would have helped. The complimentary biscuits were soft and the packaging could use improvement.
