The apartment sits in a traditional stone building where natural rock forms part of the entrance floor and the interior boasts impressive barrel‑vaulted ceilings that genuinely astonish visitors. It comes with all essential amenities and thoughtful details, furnished in a charming retro style that feels coherent, pleasant and cozy. The terrace view was absolutely breathtaking, and the October sun was scorching. The host was kind and exceptionally helpful. Monemvasia is a place you truly must stay overnight—walking through this windy little town can be tiring, but it is worth visiting in every respect. There was absolutely nothing to complain about.

“Excelent value for money with a great private terrace!”

The room was great, featuring a separate bathroom, a small fridge, coffee machines (Greek and espresso), plates and cutlery—no stove—so you can enjoy breakfast, meals or drinks on your private terrace. The terrace itself is incredible, with a wonderful sea view. The bed is comfortable and spacious enough for two people, even if you’re 1.90 m tall. The entrance to the room is a bit narrow, which can be tricky if you have a large suitcase (not an issue for us). The location is excellent, in a quiet neighborhood. We slept with the windows open and the only sound we heard was birds singing at sunrise. Nothing else to note.

“Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft in toller Altstadtlage”

The place was really unique, located right in Monemvasia’s old town with a nice view of parts of the old town and the sea, and the staff were incredibly helpful, especially when they moved our luggage for an extra fee. I wish there was a sunshade on the terrace so we could use it during the day, and the room was a bit cramped for taller people. 🤕
