The strategic spot made it easy to reach all the places we cared about—Trapani, Marsala, Segesta, San Vito lo Capo, Alcamo, Castellammare del Golfo, Riserva dello Zingaro, Grotte di Mangiapane. The Baglio is truly atmospheric, and after our hikes it let us relax in its calm beauty. The bathroom is spacious with a comfortable shower area. The outdoor courtyard with tables is lovely and perfect for summer, though in October the weather limits its use. Apartment 5—because we had slightly different needs than the typical tourist who always dines out, we felt the lack of a proper kitchen corner and a sturdier indoor table, as the sink counter struggles to hold the appliances provided. Adding a few more support surfaces in the bedroom (maybe moving the desk or adding a chest of drawers) and some practical storage in the bathroom would make the stay even more comfortable.

The location is ideal for beaches and sightseeing, the house is beautiful, and it’s very tranquil.

If you’re looking for something special, you’re in the right place. Silverstro and his wife speak excellent English, check in daily to make sure everything’s fine, and answer all questions. The breakfast is great—ham, salami, and cheese for 10 euros. Places like San Vito are not far by car, and Monte Cofano is a wonderful spot for hiking. It felt like a lonely castle lady waiting for a brave knight—my room, C3, was just a hotel room with no shelves in the bathroom or the room. The Baglio is close, but you always have to get in the car to leave it. For a longer stay, I’d miss the comfort factor.

A quiet option in a central location that makes it easy to move between Trapani, Erica, San Vito, Scopello, etc. (if you have a car). The hosts were very accommodating with our requests. A small table or shelves in the bathroom would have been great since we had nowhere to put our toiletries. Otherwise, all good!
