Hidden just off the main road, the rooms were basic yet tidy, and the hot food served upstairs on the roof offered a fantastic view of the pyramids; the staff were fantastic, always ready to help and make you feel welcome, and the location was perfect for visiting the Pyramids or the new GEM museum, both within walking distance—highly recommended!

The front‑desk staff were exceptionally friendly and considerate throughout my stay; our room was well lit and the blackout curtains let us sleep undisturbed, the breakfast selection of fruits and pastries was awesome, and the hotel’s location was amazing, though everything else was normal and pretty good.

The location is great as a base for visiting the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, both easily reachable on foot unless it’s too hot; we were there in March, the temperature was fine, and otherwise you’ll encounter taxis and tuk‑tuks. The hotel owner is a very nice, welcoming man who does his best to make you comfortable. If you’re not prepared for a completely different environment and culture compared to the Netherlands, you’ll need to adjust to everyday Egyptian life—the traffic and lifestyle are quite different—but the people are generally friendly and you don’t feel unsafe on the street.

I recently stayed at a hotel that offered a lovely rooftop restaurant serving a reasonable breakfast. However, I was a bit disappointed by the old elevator that only worked with a key and required a guard's assistance. The hotel occupies the top two floors of a 12-story building, and parking space in front of the hotel is extremely limited. The furniture in the hotel is workable, but it's clear that it's seen better days.
