“Abgerockt und viel zu teuer”
I paid 220 € for a double room expecting a tidy hotel with modern fittings, only to be met with loose paving in the parking area that lifts up when you step on it. Inside, the carpet is everywhere—some patches already worn through—and the décor feels like a relic of the past, as if everything that once existed just stayed put. A few attempts at updating clash with equipment that looks decades old. The bathroom was a highlight in a bad way: a bathtub instead of a shower, a handheld shower head, no shower curtain, and you had to hold the spray yourself—water splashed everywhere. The makeshift installation that was added later is crooked and the seals are oddly dirty. One guest couldn’t lift his head in the shower because of the sloping ceiling, while another found a dust layer on the TV that seemed to have been there for ages. Watching the way people were observed on the way to the room made me think it was due to the cameras that were installed in almost every corridor. At breakfast, two old coffee machines were almost always empty, and the food itself was disappointing. In the evening, five of us wanted a beer: draft beer was missing, only two cold bottles were available, and twelve more were warm. The hotel couldn’t buy new beer for the fully occupied property. My verdict: this place needs a full overhaul, not just a quick facelift.
