The caretaker says the place is no longer there and his phone just rings, so the location is just okay. Please remove it from listings because they claim it’s gone; we got lost and the directions were inaccurate 😔😔.
“Extremely poor service”
Nothing good, I was told to cancel because the owner wasn’t around to confirm my booking. Poor service.
“Clean but Not So Comfortable”
I was really impressed with how often the staff cleaned the place, it was spotless every time I walked in. However, there were a few things that let it down - the couch in the common area was pretty grimy and didn't exactly scream 'clean', and to make matters worse, they don't have Wi-Fi, which is a major inconvenience in this day and age. The number of plugs available was also pretty limited, and I was a bit grossed out by the state of the dishes in the kitchen.
“Great Location, Not-so-Great Pricing”
The location is fantastic, but be prepared for a surprise when you arrive. The price on the booking site is R495 per night, but when you get to the place, it's R550 plus an extra R300 that you pay upfront. That's a whopping R850, and then they give you R300 back the next day. It's a bit of a weird system, but the location makes up for it.
“Potential Unfulfilled”
The location of this hotel is seriously one of its best features - it's right in the heart of the city, close to everything you need. However, that's where the positives end, unfortunately. The common areas and facilities are in a pretty rough state, with peeling paint and worn-out furniture. But, if they put some effort into maintenance, this place could be really something special - the potential is definitely there, even if it's not being fully utilized right now.
