“A good place to stay - but don’t expect European standards.”

The pool was very nice and the location is right on the beach. The staff were very friendly and eager to help, and the bar area was pleasant. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, with plenty of hot water. However, it doesn’t meet European standards—furnishings and décor feel a bit rickety or worn, and we even had a power outage. Service was friendly but somewhat haphazard. Once we adjusted our expectations, the stay became part of the overall trip experience. The price seemed a bit high compared to local rates, but that’s likely due to the beach‑side location.

“Na het verkrijgen van de gevraagde kamer redelijk”

The location and view were good, and some staff members were very friendly and quick to help. We booked a suite but received a standard room that still had a used washcloth from the previous guest in the bathroom, and the drain emitted a foul odor. We demanded a different room and finally got one after several negotiations. The breakfast was the same every day, and we had to ask for extras like jam or chocolate.

The only positive is that it’s very close to the beach. Everything else is terrible. We stayed one night and then moved to another hotel.

“Het geld niet waard.”

I stayed in a spacious room with a warm shower and decent air‑conditioning; the staff were friendly everywhere and eager to go the extra mile. The breakfast was sparse and English‑centric, and although a lunch menu was available, it didn’t cover everything I wanted. There was no lighting on the staircase to the upper rooms, and the skylight at the top was open, rendering it useless. The air‑con blew directly over the bed, and loud local music played on the terrace in the afternoon while only staff were present. We couldn’t listen to our own music properly on the beach because there was no service there, and the beach mattresses were hard, so you need at least two of them.

The toilet had a strong flush and the bedroom shower worked well. The first room we got was terrible, so we were moved to a better one where the shower functioned, there were almost enough hooks to hang towels, and the TV worked. A gap in the back door let some unknown creature leave a daily mess in the room. The hotel’s card machine was broken, making payment difficult since they had no other viable method; we were told to withdraw cash, which wasn’t practical. We were supposed to stay two weeks, but because we were treated like criminals over the unpaid bill, we left after settling the first week’s bill via a UK bank and booked another hotel for the second week, which was fantastic.
