The location is spot on: central, just metres from the metro and São Bento station, bars and restaurants nearby—everything you need is within walking distance! The communication with the company was quick and effective. I recommend it.

The spot is great for catching the metro or just strolling around the centre. The room cleaning was very good, and there’s a coffee machine in the room. The shower pressure is fine and the water is hot… It’s a shame I have to put that in the positives, but it’s fine. The reception is in a separate building about 300 m from the rooms. Breakfast is served in a bag in the morning, almost all sweet and cold items. The hotel forgot to deliver our breakfast on the last day. Instead of a proper apology, I first received a message saying they “assumed” we wouldn’t need it. Still about breakfast, they ask what time to serve it, and that time is the same all week. Yet they don’t respect the time and don’t deliver before 8:15 am, because we had several tours scheduled before 8 am (information only visible by clicking the breakfast link, not otherwise). They delivered our breakfast the day before, so the fresh items stayed out of the fridge for most of the day. In short, you have to adapt to the hotel’s whims. The terrace shown in the photo isn’t part of a room but is on the top floor, and the view isn’t spectacular. The room is okay but has single glazing, so the ideal location turns into a nightmare if you don’t like a lot of noise all night. We were on the 4th floor and could hear people talking on the street. The mattress is okay, nothing special, and the pillows aren’t great. The hair dryer in the bathroom is from another millennium. There’s nothing to make tea. The shower armrest was broken and not adjustable, so I either showered by hand or had the shower at waist height.

The spot is right in the city centre. Breakfast is very good and plentiful, and the room cleanliness is impeccable. The noise is an issue—no sound insulation, it feels like living on the street, making it hard to fall asleep.

Excellent location, the door codes work well. Breakfast was generous but not always on time and inconvenient to eat in the room. The beds were uncomfortable, the breakfast arrangement was disappointing, especially on the last day when we had to leave on time and they were very late. Communication with the host was via WhatsApp; we got a question about everything being okay, but never an answer to our questions. The house rules were “hidden” in one of the table drawers, so we only found them when we were checking to make sure we hadn’t left anything behind. It would be better if the house rules were clearly displayed when you enter the rooms. In the room there was a coffee machine with capsules, but no instructions on how to use it, so we couldn’t use it. In the kitchen (5th floor) there was no capsule coffee machine, so there was an excess of capsules that couldn’t be used. The elevator was broken twice during our 4‑day stay, at arrival and departure, so we had a real hassle with luggage on an awkward stairwell.
